Brushy Creek Saddle Club Volunteers at the Texas Area 13 Special Olympics Horseshow 4/14/2013
There were 7 BCSC members who came out to volunteer as the main arena safety staff during this years Special Olympics Horse Show.
We were given a break at lunchtime and we enjoyed lunch provided by the special Olympic staff. We met some new friends and got to speak with the athletes, their coaches, and families. Our members are: back row to the right, Randy Goetz, Julie LeRiche, Dai Wigfield, Jordan Wigfield (Senior Sweetheart), Tifani Elliott and front row Megan LeRiche (Junior Sweetheart) and Sally Goetz (President). We met a lot of great people today and thoroughly enjoyed participating in the event. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm of the athletes and dedication to this sport. Everyone had a great time and a lot of "Happy Hands" to all. |

BCSC Playday Location and Times: We hold our monthly playdays at the Williamson County Showbarn, in San Gabriel Park, Georgetown, TX. They are on the 2nd Saturday of the month; unless there is a County event which takes priority. Check out our Playday Schedule tab on this web site.
Daily Work Schedule: I would like to thank all club members who help with the daily duties (e.g., announcing, judging, clean-up, etc.). This helps us keep the playday moving and we get to go home at a relatively decent time.
Anyone 15 years old or older can judge the events, if you are unsure please let us know and we can explain the rules and/or pair you with an experienced judge.
We really appreciate the Junior class and others assisting the playday chairman to set up the events. This is a excellent way to earn your daily work points.
If you sign-up as a judge, but are a rider, you will be the first to ride the event; before the Super Senior Class. A temporary judge will step in while you ride and put up your horse. You will take over the duty upon completion of the Super Senior Class; judges cannot be changed during a Class.
We work together as a family and take turns judging. This gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy watching family, friends, and taking a well deserved break. Helping just takes a little bit of your time and is greatly appreciated.
